James Engelhardt, Joe Weil, Maria Mazziotti Gillan, Richard Jones, Sarah Beth Childers and Neil Harrison’s work that appeared in the 2008 issue of PADDLEFISH has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. The second annual issue of Mount Marty College’s national literary journal PADDLEFISH is now available. The current issue includes stories, essays and poetry from award-winning authors such as Linda Hasselstrom, Maria Mazziotti Gillan, and William Kloefkorn, amongst others. PADDLEFISH is edited by Jim Reese, associate editors James Simmons, Dana DeWitt, and Media Arts editor Shane Miner along with selected Mount Marty College faculty and students. Students play a major role in the publication and gain hands-on editing and publishing experience through the process. Over 1,800 submissions were received for the 2008 issue. Due to such an overwhelming response, this year the submission period has been narrowed. Submission Dates: November 1st, 2008 to February 28th, 2009 No Previously Published Work
